8th Textile Asia Int’l Garment and Machinery Exhibition 2011 commenced on 16 April at Karachi Expo Centre

More than 357 brands from 39 countries displayed

Federal Advisor on Textile, Dr. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig inaugurated the Exhibition

Karachi, April 16, 2011: The Int’l Textile & Garment Machinery Show began on at Karachi Expo Center. The 3-day Mega Event is organized by Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan.

The Int’l Textile & Garment Machinery Show is the only UFI (Paris) Approved Event of the industry in South Asia, which provides enormous opportunities of learning, information sharing, mutual cooperation and combined projects to all the stakeholders in the most apt sector of Textile in Asia.

 The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, Federal Advisor on Textile, Ministry of Textile Industry. Senator Ghulam Ali, President FPCCI; Tariq Iqbal Puri, CE TDAP; Vice Presidents FPCCI; Ambassador of Tajikistan; Ishtiaq Baig, Hon. Consul General Morocco; Fisun Aktug, Commercial Attaché Turkey; Irshad Kassim, Honorary Consul of Tajikistan; Dr. Khursheed Nizam, President; Sohail Aziz, Executive Director, Mujib Siddiqui, GM Manager Marketing & Sales of Ecommerce Gateway were also present at the inauguration and ribbon cutting ceremony.

The Chief Guest along with CEO TDAP, diplomats and other dignitaries visited the exhibition.

The Event provided an effective podium for joint ventures & collaborations among the local textile industry and international entrepreneurs where 122 Exhibitors from 39 countries displaying more than 357 brands. Presence of 255 foreign delegates marked for the event. Set up of 385 stalls at the Event covers a gross area of 7000 sqm. The exhibiting countries include: Austria, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, India, Italy, Korea, Taiwan, Turkey, UK, USA etc.
